History student at the University of York. Gamer, writer, reader, and artist.

Has dreams of being a published author but hasn't finished writing anything in years.

Spends an awful lot of time reading YA sci-fi and fantasy, and draws lots of fanart for it.

Thanks for looking at my page! Commission info is over here, if you're interested :)

Inquisitor by littleschemer
My Inquisitor from Dragon Age: Inquisition. She's kind of rubbish, and is probably going to get everyone killed.

I'd have loved to have drawn her in the tarot style, but it turns out that that's really difficult to do. I think this turned out all right though - I didn't use reference, so the outfit is all wrong, but she looks quite a bit like she does in game :)
Wrong Kind of Witch by littleschemer
Wrong Kind of Witch
Manon Blackbeak from Heir of Fire by S J Maas.

I've been wanting to draw her since she showed up in the book - I've been pretty swamped by university work recently and its been difficult to find time. That also explains the flat colouring, though I'm pretty pleased with how that looks.
Heir of Fire by littleschemer
Heir of Fire
Celaena and Rowan from the Throne of Glass series by S J Maas.

So Heir of Fire was traumatic and awesome, and these two were just great in it :) This took forever, but I really wanted to do justice to these characters and this series, because it's really really great and just keeps getting better.
Malyen Oretsev by littleschemer
Malyen Oretsev
Mal from the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, to go along with all the other Grisha pictures I've done recently. Probably the last in this set, now I've drawn all the main characters :)

I've never had a particularly clear mental image of Mal, so it took me a while to pin down what I wanted him to look like. I think this works, and is pretty much how I pictured him a lot of the time, though he probably should look a bit older/more rugged.

His costume is way less complicated and detailed that everyone else’s, but I think it works. I went with a much more WW1 influenced look for him because that matches how I pictured the infantry uniforms, but I tried to work some older elements into the design seeing as the other uniforms I’ve drawn have been very 19th century.

Also had a bit of a panic about the tech-level of Ravka when I was drawing his rifle - I’ve completely forgotten whether they still used black powder weapons. I drew Nikolai with flintlocks, so I went with a rifled musket - I’m not sure if that’s accurate or not, but hopefully all the characters look like they’re from roughly the same time period.

Kaladin by littleschemer
Kaladin from the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson.

Finally got round to reading Words of Radiance and absolutely loved it, so I had to have a go at drawing Kaladin. This is fairly close to how I pictured him, though I think I drew him a bit too pretty.

Drew this on my incredibly slow home computer that doesn't have photoshop or my custom brushes, so it was a bit of a challenge, especially the background. I had a much more complicated background planned, but the computer was grumbling enough with this one.

And that thing happened again where a character looks much more expressive before I shade them. I need to do something about that.

Oh man, I just realized I've seen your work all over Leigh Bardguo's Tumblr! And you've drawn Kaladin Stormborn. *o* Haha, just looking at your work - I was totally planning on reading Throne of Glass next.

Thank you for favoriting a piece from my Kickstarter!

It’s an 300+ page art book about a shapeshifter convict and a bankrupt princess unraveling the link between magic and science. I’ve been working on it for five years and now the project is ending in a few days!  I’m really grateful for everyone’s contributions and support like your faves (especially to people who’ve been following me from the conception of this project)! So thank you! :D (Big Grin)

Thanks! I love your Grisha art as well, by the way - your style is absolutely gorgeous and fits the series so well. Throne of Glass is great, I totally recommend reading the series. The first book's good, but it gets awesome in the sequels :)

I can't believe I almost missed your Kickstarter! I really love your art and the stories sound great as well, so I just backed you and can't wait to see the finished book!

Hey :)
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it, I was wondering what people who'd read the fic would think of the picture. I was going to draw the rest of the characters, but I kind of got distracted...
Thanks for all of your reviews on the fic, btw :)
